Report: Newcastle United now want to sign £29m attacker who’s only scored twice in 32 PL games
Newcastle United know that if they get their recruitment right in January, a place in next season’s Champions League could await them.
The form of Callum Wilson up front has been extremely encouraging in the last few months.
The 30-year-old has six goals this season, and did enough to earn himself a place in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
He came off the bench against Iran yesterday, and unselfishly assisted Jack Grealish for the Three Lions final goal.

Newcastle also spent big money on Alexander Isak, with the young Swede breaking their transfer record.
Talent is certainly not lacking in Newcastle’s attacking ranks, but fitness will always be a concern for Eddie Howe.
Wilson has never been consistently fit since arriving at St. James’ Park, and hasn’t started more than 25 league games in a season since signing.
Isak has been missing since with a hamstring issue since the start of October.
Howe may be keen to add another senior forward to his ranks, and Newcastle reportedly now want to sign Juventus forward Moise Kean.
Newcastle want to sign Kean
Moise Kean is a player who has yet to fulfil the potential that plenty of managers have seen in him.
Kean came through Juventus’ academy and
It was a massive fee for a teenager, but he had scored six goals in 13 appearances for Juve.
Kean was never been able to find his feet at Goodison Park, and scored just twice from 32 Premier League games.
He was much improved on loan at Paris Saint-Germain in the 2020/21 season, scoring 13 times.
However, his time at Everton was over, .
He’s once again struggled to make an impact, scoring just four times in the first half of the season.

Newcastle now want to sign Kean and could immediately take him off Juventus’ hands in January.
They believe Massimiliano Allegri would take Allan Saint-Maximin as part of the deal.
It’s very unlikely that Howe would want to let the talented winger go, especially to accommodate a move for Kean.
Newcastle were linked with Kean in the summer, but the move never happened.
They could finally get their man in January, despite his poor form in front of goal.
