Report: Newcastle striker Andy Carroll is a possible target for West Brom
Newcastle United’s Andy Carroll is being linked with a move away from St James’ Park, with top-flight rivals West Brom reportedly interested in his signature.

It is claimed that West Brom have put the left-footer on a list of possible transfer options, as they look to strengthen in the front area of the pitch.
The report states that they are weighing up a possible move for Carroll, who has previously worked twice under current Baggies manager Sam Allardyce.
Carroll, who has been plagued by injuries during his career, is out of contact at St James’ Park at the end of the season.
The striker has made 13 appearances across all competitions so far this season, with his first goal coming at the weekend in a defeat to Leicester City in the Premier League.
TBR’s View:
Carroll offers Newcastle something different with his commanding aerial threat and can be a great option off the bench, which is what he proved against Leicester by allowing them to play more direct football.
But he’s hardly a key figure in Steve Bruce’s side and an exit this month wouldn’t be the end of the world.
West Brom need reinforcements given they are already six points adrift of 17th in the league table, but Allardyce is one manager that could be equipped to pull them out of trouble.
