Report: Newcastle set to sign English midfielder on loan
that Newcastle United are now ‘expected’ to complete the season-long loan signing of Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury.
Choudhury, 23, remains on the fringes at Leicester having remained an unused substitute in the Leicester’s three Premier League games so far.
Newcastle have been after the seven-time England Under-21 ace for some time. 12 months, according to the report.
The Toon need additions in midfield, especially after allowing Matty Longstaff to join Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen on loan for 21-22.
But it appears they will ease their lack of options in central midfield with the signing of Choudhury. A deal is likely to go through on Tuesday.

Choudhury to Newcastle: Good move for player and club
The Leicester ace needs to play. He desperately needs game time, which is more like on Tyneside than Leicester despite Europa League qualification.
At Newcastle, Choudhury has much more chances of game time. Jonjo Shelvey, Isaac Hayden, Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock are the other options.
But Longstaff has not hit his early heights, Hayden is an option in other positions and Shelvey’s form is very indifferent. Choudhury is important.
The report states that Bruce has wanted Choudhury for the past 12 months and now, Leicester will finally sanction a season-long loan move to SJP.
