Report: Newcastle rivalling Turkish outfit for £3m-rated West Brom star
that Newcastle United are rivalling Fenerbahce for West Bromwich Albion left-back Kieran Gibbs this summer, and he is available for a bargain fee.
The 29-year-old left-back has spent the past two seasons at the Hawthorns, and remained with the Baggies despite their relegation to the Championship. He impressed in England’s second tier.
The former England international clocked up 38 appearances in all competitions and helped the Baggies keep six clean sheets, but also scoring four goals and laying on four assists for the Midlands outfit.
Now, it is believed Newcastle are interested in finally ending their left-back woes by moving for the ex-Arsenal star. It is believed a bid of just £3million will sign Gibbs, but they face strong competition from Fenerbahce.

Gibbs is earning a huge £55,000 a week despite the club’s relegation to the Championship.
TBR’s view
The Toon desperately need a left-sided defender. Matt Ritchie played on the left side of the defence for the second half of the campaign, while loan signing Antonio Barreca failed.
Paul Dummett remains the club’s only recognised left-back, but some fans have questioned whether the Wales international is good enough to be considered the club’s best option.
For just £3million, Gibbs is a bargain. Comfortable in possession, gets forward well and can score goals, the England cap would be a coup for the Toon.
