Report: Newcastle plan £15m bid for Dean Henderson
Newcastle plan to make a £15 million bid for Dean Henderson, that they are confident of signing the Manchester United goalkeeper this summer.
Henderson looks set to leave Old Trafford after struggling to push past David De Gea in the pecking order. The Northern Echo reports that Newcastle have had indications that the England international is ready to move.

Previous reports claimed that Manchester United want £40 million before they sell Henderson. But Newcastle clearly hope to land the 25-year-old for a lot less.
In fact, that they will offer £15 million in the coming weeks. And they believe that a deal could be agreed quite quickly once the transfer window opens.

The report adds that Newcastle want to keep Martin Dubravka. But the Magpies will listen to offers for both Karl Darlow and Freddie Woodman as they look to take another step.
Newcastle plan to make Dean Henderson bid
Henderson has had a difficult time over the last couple of years. So it would have been a bit of a gamble to spend £40 million on him this summer.
However, anything near £15 million would have the potential to be a real coup for Eddie Howe’s side.
Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho described Henderson as an ‘‘ goalkeeper. And he would certainly have the potential to wrestle the number one spot from Dubravka over the coming months.
His arrival for £15 million would also leave a lot in the bank for other targets.
But clearly, they are going to need Manchester United to be in the mood to agree a real compromise if they hope to get a deal across the line in the coming weeks.
