Report: Newcastle now could be about to launch bid to sign Di Maria-like winger, he could be bought for £15m
Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe has been linked with a move for Leeds’ Jack Harrison in recent weeks but they could now switch targets, .
Leeds reportedly turned down a bid of £25 million for Harrison from Newcastle last week and are demanding an extra £10 million for the player.
And now it seems that Howe may switch his attention to a cheaper alternative in McNeil.

Newcastle could launch bid to sign McNeil
.
The Magpies are prioritising the signing of a winger and Howe is desperate to add to his attacking options.
Leeds are apparently standing firm in their valuation of Harrison, so Newcaslte may now move for the 22-year-old Burnley winger.
But McNeil has received interest from three other Premier League clubs in West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Everton.
Burnley were relegated from the Premier League last season and McNeil struggled in terms of attacking output. The winger managed just one assist and failed to hit the back of the net in 38 appearances in the league.

Harrison performed considerably better for Leeds last season as he bagged eight goals and one assist in 35 Premier League appearances.
But if a deal for the former Manchester City man is not possible, the Burnley man could be a great alternative option for Howe. Chelsea legend Joe Cole even once compared McNeil to Angel Di Maria while speaking on BT Sport.
TBR’s View: McNeil could flourish in a better team
Despite his low attacking output last season at Turf Moor, the Englishman has been one of the standout performers at Burnley over the past few years.
And at just 22-years-old, McNeil has plenty of time to improve and could flourish in a more attack-minded team.
The winger was often restricted while playing under Sean Dyche at Burnley as the team often adopted a defensive approach in games. But McNeil often provided the team with moments of quality and could progress even more under a coach like Howe.
