Newcastle United have made an enquiry for Djibril Sidibe, , with Marseille also interested in signing the right-back.
Magpies fans may not be expecting a particularly exciting January. that Steve Bruce was unlikely to have money to spend in this window.

Unsurprisingly, it appears that he is looking to the loan market. that they have agreed a deal, in principle, for Manchester United’s Brandon Williams for the rest of the season.
And it seems that he is not the only full-back on their radar. , Newcastle have made an enquiry for Sidibe.

It is claimed that Monaco are open to selling the 28-year-old. They want a fee of between £4.5 million and £6.3 million for the former Everton loanee, who is also on Marseille’s radar.
It is not yet clear whether Monaco would consider another loan or whether Newcastle would be open to signing him permanently given the low fee potentially involved.
TBR View: Sidibe enquiry could lead to a good piece of business
Bruce has used a number of players at right-back this season. So there is definitely an opportunity for a new signing to come in and take that spot.
Williams, in fairness, can play on both flanks. So if he does arrive, Newcastle may decide that they do not need Sidibe.
But the Monaco man could be a very smart signing. He was a part of the France squad that won the 2018 World Cup. And he did well during his time on Merseyside last season.
