Report: Newcastle make £33.5m bid for Leeds star Jack Harrison
Newcastle United have just made a £33.5 million bid for Jack Harrison as they look to complete a deal for the Leeds star this summer, .
Harrison has been linked with the Magpies for much of the summer after an impressive campaign in front of goal from the Whites winger.
In fact, reports have claimed that Eddie Howe’s men have seen a bid rejected for the 25-year-old in this window. That offer was worth £25 million. But Leeds swiftly snubbed it.
Newcastle have not been deterred however. Foot Mercato reports that the Magpies have now returned with a £33.5 million bid for Harrison.
Previous reports have claimed that Leeds want £35 million for the former Manchester City star. But it seems that the Whites’ asking price may have increased further.
that Leeds are now looking for £39.4 million. And with that, it would be no surprise if the Whites did decide to reject the latest bid from Newcastle.
Newcastle bid £33.5 million for Harrison
It will worry Leeds fans that Newcastle are not going away in their pursuit of Harrison. Obviously, the Magpies have the means to pursue almost anyone they want.
And they are getting closer and closer to his asking price. With a few weeks of the window left, there is certainly enough time for Newcastle to offer more if needed.
Harrison is an ‘‘ player. And he has looked bright in pre-season. Some of the touches he produced in Sunday’s win over Cagliari were simply sublime.
If he starts the Premier League season well, Leeds’ task of keeping him will become so much tougher.
Certainly, the Whites fans will hope that there is soon a sign from Harrison that he wants to go nowhere.
