Report: Newcastle eye 24-year-old Manchester United player
Newcastle United have looked at a January switch for Dean Henderson, but has downplayed the likelihood of a Magpies move for the Manchester United goalkeeper.
Newcastle are keen to sign a new stopper. They were linked with Marc-Andre Ter Stegen this week.

Incoming boss Eddie Howe already has a cluster of goalkeepers on the books.
Karl Darlow played against Brighton on Saturday, with Martin Dubravka on the bench. Meanwhile, Freddie Woodman made his Premier League debut this term.
But the club seemingly hope to strengthen further.

And one of the players Newcastle are monitoring is Henderson. The 24-year-old is yet to play in the Premier League this term.
He has previously demonstrated his potential at the highest level. Henderson was outstanding while on loan with Sheffield United.
And there have been times when he has unquestionably put pressure on David de Gea for the number one spot at Old Trafford.
, note that even a loan would be costly.
Newcastle obviously have the funds. But United are surely going to want a significant fee, whether he leaves temporarily or even goes permanently.
Signing Dean Henderson would be a huge statement from Newcastle
Plenty of Newcastle fans will be over the moon to see their side linked with Henderson.
He is an England international, and he clearly has a lot of confidence in his own ability.
Henderson would unquestionably be first-choice for the large majority of Premier League sides.
So it would be a huge statement if Newcastle could bring him to Tyneside.
