Report: Newcastle enter talks for £40k-a-week player at PL rivals, staff convince Ashley to pay
Newcastle United have reportedly entered talks with Premier League rivals Southampton about signing their player Mario Lemina.
According to the , Newcastle have revived a move for the 27-year-old.
It is understood that earlier this summer Magpies owner Mike Ashley pulled the plug on a deal for the midfielder due to the fact he didn’t want to pay a fee for someone his age. However, Newcastle’s staff have now managed to convince him to change his mind.
