Report: Newcastle could sign ‘outstanding’ England international who just scored in FA Cup semi-final
Newcastle United are a potential transfer destination for Chelsea and England midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Crystal Palace also had Loftus-Cheek on loan in 2017/18 and are interested in the man who scored the opening goal against them in the FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley on Sunday.
Loftus-Cheek went to World Cup 2018 but is a long way from the international reckoning right now, owing to a lack of gametime at Stamford Bridge.
Thomas Tuchel has taken to using him more lately, and his Wembley strike will do him no harm in that regard whatsoever.
“He has everything it takes to play otherwise I would not count on him. Even from outside – from Germany and in Paris, all the time he was so promising,” he said.
Newcastle got their midfield largely sorted out during the January transfer window, although another player of quality or two would not be a bad thing.
Loftus-Cheek has to get himself playing at a high level regularly, proving his fitness and scoring goals on a consistent basis.
Then, Newcastle can decide whether he is worth the plunge, or whether the cash would be better spent on other areas of the team.
