Report: Newcastle consider move for forgotten Everton winger Yannick Bolasie

Newcastle United are reportedly considering a move for Everton winger Yannick Bolasie.

, the Magpies are joined by Southampton in weighing up potential moves for the 29-year-old.

It is understood that Crystal Palace may consider a season-long loan to re-sign their former player too.

The report details that Everton are looking for £7million or more to offload the attacker, who has had a miserable time at Goodison Park.

He’s spent this season out on loan at Aston Villa and then Anderlecht, as he’s not featured in the plans of Marco Silva.

Everton paid £25million ( to sign him three years ago and he’s never been able to live up to that price tag.

TBR’s View:

Bolasie turns 30 later this month and is certainly not the type of signing Newcastle fans could get too excited about.

The dazzling wide man can be a major attacking threat on his day and is a great dribbler, but has been on the decline in recent years.

He could be worth a punt at around £7million as a low-risk signing and he would definitely strengthen options in wide areas.

Bolasie has been directly involved in seven goals in 15 games since joining Anderlecht in January, but whether he could reproduce that sort of form now in the Premier League is the big question.
