Report: Newcastle can sign ‘unbelievable’ PL striker for just £7m
Newcastle United are considering a move for Divock Origi during the January transfer window – that they may only have to pay £7 million for the Liverpool striker.
The Magpies are continuing their push to bolster their ranks in the window. Kieran Trippier looks set to become their first signing of the month.

Eddie Howe has a number of positions to strengthen. And one of those is up front, with Callum Wilson facing several weeks on the sidelines due to injury. Reports on Wednesday suggested that Dominic Solanke is one of the leading candidates on their wishlist.
that Origi is being discussed amongst the Newcastle hierarchy. And Liverpool are not planning to dig their heels in to keep the Belgian.

The report claims that the Reds want £7 million for the 26-year-old, who was valued at around £15 million in the summer (). But it is suggested that he is earning a hefty wage at Anfield.
Liverpool are without Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah during the Africa Cup of Nations. But The Telegraph claims that that will not prevent Jurgen Klopp from giving Origi the green light to leave should Newcastle make a suitable bid.
Origi has potential to become Newcastle legend should he join Magpies
Origi has been an incredible signing for Liverpool. Few players in the current squad have scored a greater number of memorable goals than the former Lille man. And yet, he has never been able to establish himself as a starter on Merseyside.
Rio Ferdinand labelled Origi ‘unbelievable‘ after he scored a winner against Wolves this season. He lauded the way the forward is able to step up whenever he does get the nod to play.
Meanwhile, Pep Lijnders described him as a ‘world-class finisher‘.
If Origi joins Newcastle and scores a few more hugely important goals, he may well end the season as a legend amongst the fanbases of two Premier League clubs.
