Report: New club places offer on table for Gjanni Alioski, as he officially leaves Leeds on Thursday
Leeds fan favourite Gjanni Alioski has officially left Elland Road after four years in Yorkshire – and a new club have tabled an offer to sign him. The Euro 2020 star’s contract ended on Wednesday and he is now officially a free agent. Trabzonspor have tabled an offer to sign him.
Alioski, 29, leaves Leeds after clocking up 171 appearances for the Whites in four seasons. Signed before the Marcelo Bielsa era, he is one of a number of players to have improved under the guidance of the Argentine gaffer. But his contract has not been renewed, despite Leeds offering him an extension.
The report now claims Alioski has a new club on the table, in Trabzonspor. The Turkish side, who finished fourth last season, already boast ex-Leeds man Caleb Ekuban and had Lewis Baker on loan. Now, Alioski has a £20,000-a-week offer on the table, and a signing-on fee of £430,000.

Trabzonspor making moves, would be a good move for Leeds man
Trabzonspor have already brought in ex-Napoli midfielder Marek Hamsik, which is a sensational signing. They have also added ex-Arsenal man and Ivory Coast legend Gervinho. Alioski would be playing Europa League football alongside Ekuban, a move that he simply has to take.
It is a blow for Leeds to lose Alioski, but his replacement in Junior Firpo is a brilliant addition for the Whites. Ultimately, Leeds needed a left-back anyway even if Alioski remained – and it would have made the North Macedonia defender cover. A move to Trabzonspor is sensational.
