Report: National team boss wants his 30-year-old to leave current club, with Newcastle and Everton keen

Wales manager Rob Page wants Aaron Ramsey to leave Juventus to get game time – with Newcastle and Everton interested.

Ramsey, 30, is out of favour under Max Allegri at Juventus – playing just 112 minutes of football for the Old Lady this season, across five appearances.

Since his move to Juventus in the summer of 2019, 71-time Wales international Ramsey has played 70 times for Juve – scoring six times.

It is a stark contrast to his Arsenal and Wales form – with 20 goals and eight assists coming in his 71 games for Wales. He played 371 times for Arsenal.

In that time, he produced 130 goal involvements – an even split of 65 goals and assists. Page wants him to leave, to improve his fitness and game time.

At the moment, Ramsey remains a key player – but is lacking in match fitness when turning up to represent his country. That needs to change.

Of course, the 2022 World Cup is closing in and Wales have qualified for the playoffs. Ramsey, and Page, will be hoping he is sharp and raring to go.

Page wants Ramsey move: Could Newcastle, Everton move for star?

In October, reported that Everton, Newcastle and Crystal Palace were keen on signing Ramsey. He might even leave on a free.

Another,, say his contract could be ripped up 18 months ahead of schedule. A possible free agent, as early as January.

For either side, Ramsey is an incredible signing. It is whether Ramsey can be convinced – but a move back to the Premier League is ideal for him.

To join either Everton or Newcastle – or even Patrick Vieira’s Palace – would be massive for the Welshman to get his career back on track. A must.
