Report: Mourinho wants another Wolves player, will cost £21.25m
that Jose Mourinho is looking to raid Wolves for a second time – after landing Rui Patricio. This time, he wants a midfielder after failing to nab Arsenal star Granit Xhaka. Mourinho wants Wolves star Leander Dendoncker, but he could cost more than £20million.
Dendoncker, 26, has clocked up an impressive 120 appearances for Wolves since joining the club initially on loan from Anderlecht in 2018. That is impressive going, showing consistency and the ability to avoid injury. Not only that, but Dendoncker’s ability to play in numerous places helps.
Part of a back four, one of a back three, as a holding midfielder or even a box-to-box midfielder – Dendoncker has really impressed at Wolves. His form has caught the eye of Mourinho, who is keen to sign a midfielder. After failing to get Xhaka, £21.25m-rated Dendoncker is now a target.

Roma and Mourinho a brilliant move for Wolves star Dendoncker
For multiple reasons. Chief among which is that working under Mourinho could be a big highlight of his career. Living in Rome, of course, will also prove tempting. With Wolves stuttering of late, a move is likely to seem tempting for the 20-time Belgium international this summer.
Roma have also scraped into the Europa Conference League after a seventh-placed finish last season – similar to Tottenham, following Mourinho’s exit. It would also give Dendoncker the chance to play in European competition, something Wolves have failed to do for 21-22. A no-brainer.
