Report: Mesut Ozil has held Juventus talks, Arsenal midfielder could move soon

Arsenal outcast, Mesut Ozil, has apparently made contact with Juventus over a potential move to the Serie A champions.

According to , the German international has spoken to Juve about a move to Turin. The news comes in the wake of Ozil still being left out at Arsenal and with little sign of a route back into the first XI.

However, it is believed Juventus are trying to lower Arsenal’s asking price for Ozil. The 32-year-old’s contract expires next June, so the Italians will not want to pay over the odds for the former Real Madrid star.

Yesterday’s 3-1 win over Chelsea, which included young attacking midfielders like Gabi Martinelli and Emile Smith-Rowe, has only pushed Ozil further down the pecking order it seems.

This is just dragging on and on and is doing nobody any favours whatsover. Ozil needs to be playing, he is too good to simply be sat around doing very little on big money.

Juventus have attracted the very best in recent times and Ozil might relish the chance of linking up with the likes of Ronaldo and former Gunner, Aaron Ramsey.

However, his wages and Arsenal’s stance do seem problematic. A January deal, then, will hinge on both clubs coming to some sort of compromise.
