Marseille are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi ahead of this summer, .
Guendouzi’s future is set to become a talking point in North London once again. The 22-year-old has spent the year away from the Gunners out on loan.
His year at Hertha Berlin has had high points. And with Arsenal enduring a hugely underwhelming campaign, there are likely to be plenty of supporters imploring Mikel Arteta to bring him back into the fold.
However, it appears that Arsenal could be offered the chance to offload the youngster. that Marseille are keen on Guendouzi.
As things stand, it is difficult to see Arsenal standing in Guendouzi’s way if a substantial bid comes in.
Arteta has hinted that the Gunners need to conduct an overhaul of the squad this summer (via ). So selling those attracting interest may be important to help fund those changes.
Having said that, Guendouzi – who earns £40,000-a-week, – is a player with a lot of potential, and he features in a position which Arsenal will surely look to strengthen this summer.
So if clubs are not prepared to offer a substantial sum for Guendouzi, Arteta surely has to consider whether he would be more useful as part of his plans next season.
