Report: Manchester United move into pole position to sign Tottenham Hotspur target Giovani Lo Celso
The race for Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso is hotting up. , Manchester United have now overtaken Tottenham Hotspur in the chase for Lo Celso.
Man United now want the Argentina international and are at the front of the queue. Real Betis only signed Lo Celso permanently from Paris Saint-Germain this summer (for less than £20m) but are ready to make a major profit.
that Spurs have made a bid of more than £60m for Lo Celso. But Man United are in the best position to pull this off with other Spanish club lurking too.

Atletico Madrid hold an interest in the midfield playmaker, who scored 16 goals and provided six assists last season. But they could focus their attention and money on Benfica’s Joao Felix instead.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in Lo Celso. Spurs have held a long-term interest in the 23-year-old but Daniel Levy must now get his cheque book out to compete with Man United.
TBR’s view
It looks like Lo Celso will be leaving for a hefty fee this summer. The tricky Argentine could put himself in the shop window during the Copa America and this would help Real Betis get as much money as possible.
Tottenham have wanted him as a Christian Eriksen replacement. It would be a major shame for Spurs, after two windows of no spending, to miss out to a top-six rival.
