Report: Manchester City ready to beat Tottenham to ‘one of the best talents in the world’ with £114m bid
Tottenham Hotspur are just one of the many clubs reportedly hoping to sign Croatia star Josko Gvardiol.
However, if a new report is anything to go by, Manchester City may have readied a bid that’s too much for Spurs to compete against.
Spurs have been linked with Gvardiol for months now.

Back in May, the claimed that Spurs were looking at the 20-year-old as an alternative to Alessandro Bastoni.
Now, with the January transfer window on the horizon, speculation linking Tottenham with Gvardiol has intensified.
However, City are reportedly thinking of ‘breaking the bank’ for the World Cup star, according to .
The journalist’s website – via – claims the Citizens have already contacted RB Leipzig with a €130m (£114m) proposal.
Pedulla claims Chelsea and Real Madrid have tried their luck so far, but City appear to have muscled in with ‘monstrous’ finances.
In wake of this approach, City are now said to be in a ‘tight contract’ with Leipzig.
The Bundesliga club could seek to close the deal after the World Cup and potentially keep Gvardiol until the end of the season.

A tough ask for Spurs
Not great news for Tottenham if true. However, it’s not too surprising considering how well Gvardiol has done at the World Cup.
The 20-year-old helped his side to the semi-finals of the competition. He showed he’s one of the top defenders in the world.
Fabrizio Romano previously Gvardiol “one of best talents in the world in general and in his position probably the best talent in this moment”.
This is despite his young age, which begs the question… how good can he become in a few years when he reaches his ceiling?
Obviously it’s just speculation at present. However, it shows what a mission Tottenham have if they are to land the talented powerhouse.
