According to a report from Manchester City have placed Eintracht Frankfur striker, Andre Silva, on their list of potential Sergio Aguero replacements.
City are in the market for a new striker this summer. Club legend Aguero is set to leave, and Pep Guardiola is thought to want to replace the Argentinian talisman.
A host of big names are being linked with a move to The Etihad. Harry Kane and Erling Haaland are the two names cropping up most, while also puts Lautaro Martinez on that list.

But that list is a list of four, and the more surprising name on their is Silva. The Portuguese striker has scored 26 goals in the Bundesliga this term and is being courted by a number of teams, including West Ham.
City’s interest, however, could be a game-changer for Silva. The chance to lead the line under Pep could be of huge appeal. At just 25, Silva is of the ideal age to make the next step in his career.
Replacing Aguero will be no easy task for the forward, . However, it’s a challenge he could find hard to resist.
TBR View: Silva the cheap option but could be just as effective
Silva is expected to be sold for around the £35m mark, if varying comments and reports are to be believed. For City, that is far less an outlay than the other names on the Times’ list would cost.
Kane and Haaland are £100m and above, while Martinez is highly-valued by Inter Milan. Silva, then, could be a good option just now.
He certainly has talent and has goals in the locker too. 26 this season is quite an effort, so there’s no reason why he can’t translate that form into a side who’ll create even more chances.
