Report: Mancheste City reject loan offer from Newcastle to sign wonderkid Palmer

that Manchester City have chosen to rej🗹ect a loan offer from Newcastle United for wonderkid Cole Palmer. The 19-year-old is growing more and more important, after breaking into the first team.

Palmer🎀, who has already scored two goals in four🐲 caps for England’s Under-21 side, has clocked up 10 senior appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side this season. A loan might have been beneficial for his development.

Indeed, Palmer is unlikely to get the regular game time he might feel he needs to reach the next l🌱evel. Phil Foden was in a similar position a couple oඣf seasons ago, with many suggesting the England star needed to go on loan.

The likes of Foden, Jack Grealish, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and more are above Palmer in the pecki꧃ng order. That has seen Newcastle look to tempt City into loaning him oℱut for the rest of the 21-22 season.

The Athletic reports that Newcastle officials asked Manchester City over the possibility of taking Palmer on loan in January. However, Manchester City have ruled out any chances as such – with Ferran Tor💞res about to be sold.

Newcastle eye Palmer: Toon ideal for Manchester City ace

Newcastle desperately need additi𝄹ons, and certainly, a bit of creaౠtivity from midfield. Palmer would have handed them that. From Manchester City’s perspective, gaining regular Premier League football would have helped Palmer.

But clearly, Guardiola believes keeping Palmer at The Etihad and coaching himℱ face to face is better for his de꧑velopment – instead of loaning him out. Who can blame him, it has worked for Foden.
