Report makes surprise claim about Diego Llorente’s Leeds future
that Diego Llorente is keen to leave Leeds United, with Real Betis interested in signing the defender.
It has been a turbulent first season at Elland Road for the 27-year-old. He picked up an injury while away on international duty, so he did not make his Leeds debut until December.

Unfortunately for Llorente, two more injuries followed before he returned in late February. However, since then, the centre-back has been outstanding.
Llorente has produced superb displays against the likes of Southampton and Chelsea. And it now appears that he has a fantastic chance of establishing himself as a first-choice.
So that is why the latest report on his future seems to make little sense. , Llorente is keen to leave Leeds over his lack of game-time.

It is claimed that Betis would be interested in offering him a return to Spain. And intriguingly, it is suggested that Spain coach Luis Enrique has given his backing to Llorente joining Los Verdiblancos.
TBR View: Llorente may want to leave Leeds, but report’s reason makes no sense
Of course, it is not entirely out of the question for Llorente to hold some interest in leaving Leeds. He has endured a testing season in what his first year of playing football outside of Spain.
The Whites, of course, saw Samu Saiz leave in 2019 after he struggled with life outside of his home country.
But the notion that Llorente could want to leave over game-time makes no sense.
Admittedly, there was a short period before his first injury where Marcelo Bielsa could have handed him a debut. But since then, the only thing keeping him out of the team has been his fitness.
He has now played 90 minutes in Leeds’s last four games. And with Robin Koch, Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi not currently fully match fit, there is every chance that he will hold onto that starting role for the foreseeable future.
