Report: ‘Magnificent’ 22-year-old set for West Brom medical today, £18m deal struck
West Bromwich Albion appear to be closing in on Grady Diangana, with reporting that the West Ham winger is expected for a medical with the Baggies today.
The outlet reported on Thursday that Aston Villa and Fulham had entered the race to sign the 22-year-old, while Dutch giants Ajax remained interested in the player.
However, West Brom are believed to still be in pole position, a £18million deal agreed with West Ham and personal terms agreed with Diangana on a five-year contract, according to .

The outlet has reported that the deal includes an initial £12million fee and £6million in performance-related bonuses which, if fulfilled, would go on to eclipse the £15million spent for Oliver Burke in 2017.
Diangana came through the ranks at West Ham and, in January last year, penned a new contract at the London Stadium until 2025.
The 22-year-old joined West Brom on loan last summer and helped Slaven Bilic’s side to promotion last season, with 15 goal contributions from 30 Championship games.
TBR View:
Diangana was superb for West Brom last season – “magnificent”, as pundit Lee Hendrie told in June – and it’s a bit of a surprise that West Ham are reportedly willing to sell him despite his potential and having penned a new contract.
However, their loss will be the Baggies’ gain and, although there are other sides reportedly in pursuit, it looks as though The Hawthorns are far enough ahead to be able to get the deal over the line.
West Brom undoubtedly have the advantage in terms of how far negotiations seem to have progressed for them, not to mention Diangana being familiar with the club, players and staff.
