Report: Loris Karius wants Liverpool to cancel his contract this summer
Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is urging Liverpool to cancel his contract at the end of the season; allowing him to join Besiktas on a free transfer,
The German stopper hasn’t played for the Reds since the Champions League Final in 2018. Liverpool were beaten 3-1 by Real Madrid with Karius enduring a tough night.
As a result of his performance in that final, Jurgen Klopp opted to pursue another goalkeeper; subsequently sending Karius on loan for two seasons to Besiktas.

The 26-year-old cost the Turkish club a loan fee of . They do have an obligation to buy him for £7.25 million if certain performance-related criteria were met.
It would appear that Besiktas aren’t sure they’ll be able to keep the stopper, however, with the report including quotes from manager Sergen Yalcin.
“Karius will not be with us next season, his buy clause is expensive and there are a few issues. I do not know the exact details.”
The decision could leave Karius in limbo. As a result, it is now thought that he would like Liverpool to cancel his contract
Financial Fair Play is apparently hanging over the Turkish club and signing Karius for free would help them.
Decision
The ex-Germany under-21 international has played in 29 games for Besiktas this season; keeping seven clean sheets and conceding 44 goals.
The goalkeeper is paid at Liverpool and will have one year left on his deal at the end of the season.

It seems logical for the Reds to allow Karius to leave, although they might choose to bring him back and find a club willing to pay for his services.
Karius knows there is no way back for him at Liverpool and it’s quite admirable that he is keen for his contract to be paid up.
It does make sense for all parties and Klopp should give it some serious thought.
