Report: Liverpool will sell Harry Wilson for just £10m, amid interest from Benfica and West Brom

Liverpool are now willing to accept around £10m for winger Harry Wilson this summer, as Jurgen Klopp looks for a quick sale to boost his own transfer pot.

The likes of Benfica and West Brom are said to be keen on the Welsh winger, although a reported £13m asking-price was holding any deal up.

However, the now claim that Liverpool have slashed that asking-price and will instead accept around £10m. That figure could well tempt clubs into making their move.

Wilson has struggled to get into the Liverpool first-team picture but has enjoyed successful loan spells in the last three seasons.

He played a key role as Derby reached the play-off final, before scoring seven goals for Bournemouth in the PL. He then joined Cardiff last season, helping the Bluebirds to an 8th place finish.

But Liverpool boss Klopp is said to be willing to let Wilson go now. The Reds manager is wanting to strengthen again, and Wilson is among a group of players who could be sold.

Cashing in

Liverpool have made a habit of getting good money for young players in recent seasons. The Reds sold Rhian Brewster to Sheffield United for £20m, while Wolves paid over £10m for Ki-Jana Hoever.

Klopp, then, seems to be taking a similar stance when it comes to Wilson.

The player, too, must know his time is up. He’s simply not quite cut it for the Reds but he’s more than proven himself at Championship and PL level.

Hopefully, Wilson will get a move now. It’s time for him to kick on and get regular football where he can settle into his career.
