Report: Liverpool hoping for £30m for Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic

Liverpool could be willing to sell both Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic for a combined £30m this summer, according to a report from .

The report states Liverpool are looking at a mini summer clearout. The club hopes it can raise some big funds by offloading a number of fringe players.

Wilson and Grujic are said to be two on the list who can go. Both players have failed to make a dent on Liverpool’s first-team proceedings, and both are valued at around £15m by the club.

Wilson has enjoyed a few productive spells with both Derby County and Bournemouth in recent times. He’s also been at Cardiff recently, where he scored seven and set up another eleven. Klopp has previously lauded Wilson, too, for his set-piece ability, calling it ‘world-class’ back in 2020.

Grujic, meanwhile, has been with Porto this year after two good spells with Hertha Berlin before. Despite Liverpool losing Gini Wijnaldum, it is believed the club are open to the Serbian leaving.

Jurgen Klopp has signed Ibrahima Konate today but is looking to strengthen further if he can this summer. Other players, such as Divock Origi and Xherdan Shaqiri, could also be moved on in the coming months.

Harry Wilson needs to go, as does Grujic, this is smart from Liverpool

Liverpool have become masters at getting big fees for young players in recent seasons so they’ll be optimistic again here.

The club sold Rhian Brewster for over £20m in the summer. He has since done nothing with Sheffield United. If they can bring in £30m for two more fringe players, then it will be brilliant business once again.

Wilson and Grujic have proved they’re good enough to succeed. It’s just they might not be good enough to succeed at Anfield. Both need a move, and they need to settle somewhere.

This summer, then, seems the ideal chance for both players to kickstart their careers properly.
