Report: Liverpool will ‘reluctantly sell’ 24-year-old player if clubs match price tag, amid interest
Liverpool will reportedly sell their player Nat Phillips if his price tag is met this summer, amid interest in his signature.
the Reds have put a £15million pice tag on the defender’s head.
It is understood that Premier League rivals Burnley are one of the clubs to register an interest in signing the English centre-half.
The report says that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp would be happy to keep the 24-year-old at Anfield. However, the Merseyside giants will “reluctantly sell” him if they receive a suitable offer.
Centre-back Ibrahima Konate will be available to Liverpool for the upcoming season after joining from Germanclub RB Leipzig this summer. Therefore, the squad looks stacked for options in the heart of defence.
Phillips will be competing alongside the likes of Konate, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip if he stays.

Could Nat Phillips be a long-term solution for Liverpool?
If you look at the way Phillips stepped up for Liverpool last season, it seems extremely harsh that he could be sold.
But, the calibre of defender available to the Reds is extremely high.
There is no doubt he’s good enough to play regularly in the Premier League, so a move to Burnley could be a perfect fit. He looks like he could slot in effortlessly at Turf Moor.
A £15million fee seems decent due to the fact he was unknown before injuries opened the door for him to shine at Liverpool during last season.
His contribution shouldn’t be forgotten though if he does go. He stepped up, along with others, to drag the team to a top-four finish.
