Report: Liverpool want £17m if they are to sell their 27-year-old player, could put side off buying him
Liverpool want £17 million for Takumi Minamino and that is so far putting Southampton off making an official bid.
report that there is interest in the Japanese international from both the Premier League and further afield.
Minamino spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at St Mary’s, netting two goals from ten games during that spell, as per .
And the Saints, as well as Leeds United and Monaco are keen on the 27-year-old but have not turned that into a formal offer.

Liverpool want £17 million Minamino
The asking price is not new, and Liverpool do have a habit of setting their price for unwanted players and not budging.
That means they would likely just take Minamino back into their squad next term if nobody came in at the price they wanted.
The forward did well as a fringe player last season, but his hopes of first team football have not improved ahead of the new campaign.
But he would be a handy backup who can play in a variety of positions; as many as five, according to his manager Jurgen Klopp.

Ligue 1 outfit Lyon are also interested in Minamino but it remains to be seen who will be the first club to actually make a formal offer.
Only then will we find out how fixed Liverpool’s asking price is, unless of course a team comes in and pays £17 million right off the bat.
Minamino has the quality to do well at Premier League level, and Southampton would know what they are getting if they signed him. We may soon find out what they value him at.
