Report: Liverpool ‘unhappy’ with Loris Karius treatment but still seek permanent exit

Liverpool are reportedly ‘unhappy’ with the way in which goalkeeper Loris Karius has been treated by former loan club Besiktas and thehas also reported on the Premier League side’s plans going forward for the German.

Karius terminated his loan spell at the Turkish club this week following months of not being paid by the club.

Liverpool even had to step in to help at one point and are furious with how he was treated.

Karius is now Liverpool’s once again but, as the report states, it does not appear there is any way back for the player.

Karius, who was largely to blame for Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid in 2018, could now return to Melwood to train once Liverpool return to the playing fields.

However, that might not be the plan. Instead, Karius could be given an extended break whilst the club try to find a permanent buyer for his services.

Karius was replaced as Liverpool’s number one by Alisson after that night in Kyiv despite Jurgen Klopp still offering mass support for the player.

Before that infamous Champions League final, Klopp told a news conference that Karius is an ‘outstandingly skilled goalkeeper’.

“Look, if he was not a good goalkeeper I would be the biggest idiot in world football if I line him up. Maybe a few people think I am, but he is an outstandingly skilled goalkeeper.”

However, with Adrian providing support to Alisson it would appear that Karius is simply not needed at Liverpool.

Hopefully, the club can find a suitable buyer for the player and he can get his once-fledgling career back on track.
