Report: Liverpool to miss out on signing Ozan Kabak, player set to join AC Milan
Liverpool look like they have missed out on the signing of Schalke 04 defender Ozan Kabak, with the Turkish star set to sign for Italian giants, AC Milan.
The Reds have held an interest in Kabak since the summer, when the claimed that Jurgen Klopp was keeping a close eye on the defender ahead of a potential summer move.

That interest in Kabak was said to be maintained right through to the deadline but Klopp, ultimately, resisted the temptation to bring in a replacement for Virgil van Dijk. Coincidentally, Kabak is .
However, a report from , via , claims that Kabak is now set to seal a £22m move to the San Siro. Liverpool, then, will have to look elsewhere if they wish to pursue the signing of a new centre-half.

A few months ago this might have stung a bit for Liverpool but given how Rhys Williams is progressing and that the Reds still sit top of the pile, it’s not too big a deal now.
Kabak was always likely to leave Schalke and while he is talented, you could argue he’s no better than Liverpool’s current lot.
The Turkish star will no doubt do well in Italy and joins a Milan team flying high. Liverpool, though, will simply move on.
