Report: Liverpool think they’re going to make big profit on 26-year-old when they sell him

Liverpool are confident that they are going to end up making big money on Ben Davies despite him never playing for the club, .
Michael Edwards masterstroke?
Davies joined Liverpool at the start of the year in the midst of their defensive crisis.
However, he came in at the same time as Ozan Kabak, and it was the Turkish defender who Jurgen Klopp ultimately favoured.
Davies apparently was actually solid in Liverpool training, without being spectacular, but was just unable to force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s plans.
Liverpool have now loaned him out to Sheffield United for the season, with the Blades paying all of his wages.
The Reds paid £2 million to sign Davies, but they think that they can make significant profit on their investment.
Risk free investment
Klopp apparently felt the signing was a ‘risk free’ one at the time, due to the low fees involved.

And given that Davies is a left-footed centre-back who is comfortable on the ball, which is a rarity in the modern game, Liverpool think he could be a great buy.
If Davies has a strong season at Championship level this term with one of the promotion favourites he could indeed raise his value significantly.
And with Liverpool planning to spend big next summer, getting a sizeable fee for Davies will really aid them.
