Report: Liverpool slap £34.5m price tag on Marko Grujic amid Atletico Madrid interest
Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic will cost any potential suitor €40m (around £34.5m), .
Atletico Madrid are the latest club to express an interest in Grujic, , but they will have to cough up a major fee for the young midfielder.
Hertha Berlin, who currently have Grujic on loan, are also likely to try to sign him on a permanent basis.
However, that Hertha Berlin’s poor form could cost them a European qualifying spot and reduce their chances of landing Grujic.
The 22-year-old has been in top form for the Bundesliga side this season, playing 19 games and scoring four goals.
Predominantly a holding midfielder, Grujic has demonstrated his box-to-box central midfielder credentials in the German top division.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be weighing up his options and wondering whether to use Grujic in his team next season.
But Atletico Madrid could test Liverpool’s resolve by launching a bid for the Serbia international.
The Spanish side see Grujic as an ideal replacement for Rodri or Saul Niguez, who are wanted by Manchester City and Manchester United respectively ().
