Report: Liverpool set to sell Euro 2020 star for just £13m
that Liverpool will cash in on Xherdan Shaqiri for a bargain fee of just £13million – despite his Euro 2020 form. The Switzerland ace was crucial in helping his side beat France on Monday night. But the Reds are ready to cash in regardless, for a paltry £13million.
Shaqiri, 29, scored just one goal in 22 appearances for Liverpool last season. The former Stoke City man struggled to break into the starting line-up, and has managed only 63 outings in three seasons. But for his country, he is a different animal. Starting all four games at Euro 2020, he has been superb.
Scoring a brace to send Switzerland into the last 16 from the group stages during a 3-1 win over Turkey, Shaqiri also got an assist against Wales. Now, the Swiss are in the quarter-finals, having produced the shock of the tournament. But the Mirror says Liverpool will sell him for £13million.

Are Liverpool making a mistake in Shaqiri sale – for just £13million?
A similar fee to the one they bought Shaqiri for three years ago, Liverpool are seemingly ready to cash in now. A new deal is unlikely to be offered to Shaqiri. With two years left on his Liverpool contract, cashing in now makes sense before the price tag is affected next summer.
But surely they can get more than £13million – given his Euro 2020 exploits? He has looked like a player worth far more than £13million this summer. Selling him is the right decision by Michael Edwards, but the Reds sporting director surely needs to consider a fee closer to £20million.
Lazio are said to be interested.
