Report: Liverpool open talks with Caoimhin Kelleher over new contract
Liverpool have opened talks with Caoimhin Kelleher over a new contract on Merseyside, .
Kelleher has enjoyed a breakout season at Anfield. He has made his debut in both the Premier League and the Champions League.

The 22-year-old has moved above Adrian in the goalkeeper pecking order in Jurgen Klopp’s squad. And it appears that Liverpool are now looking to ensure that he is tied down for the foreseeable future.
, talks have begun over a contract extension for the youngster. His current terms are set to run until the end of next season.

The report adds that Adrian is expected to leave Anfield in the summer. And Kelleher is apparently going to be central to Klopp’s long-term plans.
Based on what Kelleher has shown this season, there is every reason to believe that he could be a very good understudy to Alisson Becker.
Alisson has obviously endured a tough time of late. But he is a world-class goalkeeper. And it would be no surprise if he was back to his best sooner rather than later.
He is only 28. So he could potentially be a mainstay of the Liverpool side for years to come. That may perhaps leave Kelleher with a couple of concerns he wants addressed before he puts pen to paper.
But at this stage of his career, he will surely benefit massively from continuing to work with the world’s best in his position and making a number of appearances for Klopp’s men along the way.
