Report: Liverpool open talks to sign Bundesliga midfielder after Gini Wijnaldum exit
that Liverpool have now opened talks to sign Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Florian Neuhaus. The report claims that Liverpool are looking to bring in a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum and talks are underway for the Germany ace.
Neuhaus, 24, has enjoyed a brilliant campaign under Marco Rose – who is about to take over at Borussia Dortmund. He has had a hand in 16 goals during his 45 league and cup appearances throughout 2020-21, and has earnt himself a place in Germany’s Euro 2020 side. Liverpool are keen.
Wijnaldum has left Liverpool to join PSG on a free transfer this summer. Talks are open between Liverpool and Gladbach, but the report says his £35million release clause has come to an end. A fee is unclear – Gladbach will be able to charge what they want.

Neuhaus would be a very good Wijnaldum replacement for Liverpool amid talks
Wijnaldum wrote himself into Liverpool folklore by proving the Reds with a hard-working, yet technically-gifted component in the middle of the park. But also, Wijnaldum chipped in with the odd important goal or assist – his brace against Barcelona in the 2019 Champions League for example.
So, Liverpool need a hard-working midfielder that has the lung capacity to get up and down the pitch. One that is technically gifted. One that is efficient, and one that can score and create goals. Neuhaus is just that man. Certainly, – and could now get him.
