Malen is valued at around by PSV. That would represent a pretty hefty outlay to Liverpool who have previously claimed they wouldn’t spend big.

The 22-year-old does seem to fit the profile of a Liverpool player nicely, however. He fired 27 goals last season and also helped himself to 10 assists in Holland.

Malen joined the Dutch giants from Arsenal for just in 2017. He has since rediscovered himself, scoring 55 goals in 116 appearances for PSV.

Typically he operates as a centre-forward. As a result, his arrival would certainly allow Liverpool to mix things up a bit next season.

He is comfortable playing as a lone talisman or as part of a two or three-pronged attack. Malen is blessed with an abundance of pace and knows where the back of the net is.

Liverpool finished third in the Premier League last season, relinquishing their title with a whimper.

Next season they’ll want to bounce back and the signing of Malen could help propel them back into title contention.

Future star: Malen could be perfect for Liverpool

The man who has two assists for Holland at Euro 2020 has the potential to become a very exciting signing to the Anfield ranks.

He is the kind of player who gets supporters out of their seats and his all-action style could see him thrive under Jurgen Klopp.

The player’s valuation might be more than Liverpool want to play but ultimately he’d be a long-term investment.

PSV would make a substantial profit on the young striker and the deal looks like a good one for all parties.
