Report: Liverpool in talks with Schalke about possible January Ozan Kabak transfer
Liverpool have reportedly opened talks with Schalke regarding a potential move for central defender Ozan Kabak in January.
the Reds are looking at the Turkey international as possible cover for Virgil van Dijk, who is facing many months on the sidelines after suffering ACL damage.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be a big fan of Kabak’s, and the report even claims Liverpool would have moved for him during the summer had the pandemic not affected their finances.
Liverpool are supposedly now talking with Schalke, and it’s claimed the Bundesliga side would want £30 million for their young star.
The Reds are prepared to offer £20 million up front, with further payments to come later down the line.
Schalke had initially valued Kabak at £40 million before the pandemic.
TBR’s View – Kabak could be a solid signing
Obviously, there’s not a single signing Liverpool could make that could ease the blow of losing van Dijk.

But Kabak could be a good acquisition for the club having really impressed over in Germany.
Last year, likened his style to that of Real Madrid’s Sergio Ramos, describing the player as having a ‘sound in-game radar and a deceptively quick turn of pace’. He’s also ‘powerful in the air with a great sense of timing’.
He’s definitely one to watch out for for Liverpool supporters.
