Report: Liverpool in advanced talks with Cardiff about Harry Wilson loan

Liverpool attacker Harry Wilson is being linked with an Anfield exit on Friday’s transfer deadline day, as the EFL window shuts at 5pm today.

), the Reds are in “advanced talks” with English Championship side Cardiff City about the 23-year-old left-footer.

It is claimed that discussions are close to completion between the two clubs and states that a transfer loan fee has already been agreed.

The report adds that there is still late interest from Swansea City, Reading, Bristol City and Derby County in the Wales international.

Wilson looks like he could complete a move away from Anfield on loan before Friday’s window shuts and there are a string of sides in England’s second-tier desperate for his signature, which would be an incredible one for any of them.

The right-winger has played one first-team games for Liverpool so far this season, but is on the fringes of the senior squad at Anfield and is now set for another loan spell away from Merseyside.

He spent the 2019/20 campaign out on loan with Bournemouth in the top-flight, scoring seven goals in 35 games across all competitions

TBR’s View:

It’s a shame that Wilson has not been able to earn a move away from Liverpool earlier in the season, but it’s important for the individual that he leaves on Friday and he’ll have to drop down to the Championship to earn regular game-time.

He is a talented individual that is brilliant from set-pieces and can be a major goal threat, but it’s hard to picture him now carving out a career at Anfield due to the fact he’s still being loaned out aged 23.

Liverpool will surely be hoping he lights up the Championship like he previously did when he was on loan with Derby and perhaps they can cash in on him next summer.
