Report: Liverpool have assessed move for brilliant Kai Havertz
A report in the has claimed that Liverpool have assessed the signing of Kai Havertz, although the asking price has proved prohibitive to the club previously.
The German playmaker seems likely to leave Bayer Leverkusen in the summer with the Bundesliga looking to recoup around £100 million for the player.
Havertz is deemed one of the brightest young talents in world football and the 20-year-old looks set for stardom.

Boss Jurgen Klopp is keen to strengthen his creative options this summer and it would seem Havertz is on the radar.
During 2019/20 the player with seven caps for Germany has scored 10 goals and claimed eight assists for Leverkusen.
Havertz typically operates as a No.10 and his presence in Klopp’s squad would allow the boss a bit more flexibility.
He has played 10 times on the right-wing this season too and that would also make him a useful addition to Klopp’s squad.
It seems certain that Liverpool will add some new players in the summer.
Adam Lallana, Xherdan Shaqiri, Nathaniel Clyne and Harry Wilson could all depart, leaving gaps to plug in the squad.
Havertz will have a whole host of admirers it would seem, although Liverpool’s dominance in recent years should make them competitive in the market.

Liverpool’s midfield at the minute sees Jordan Henderson, James Milner, Naby Keita, Fabinho and Gini Wijnaldum all battle it out for places.
It’s fair to suggest that all of those players do a similar job and adding a goalscoring creative spark could be ideal for Klopp.
Havertz would be a dream signing for some Liverpool supporters and it will be interesting to see if the Reds have changed their stance over his asking price.
