Report: Liverpool given green light to sign Florian Neuhaus
Liverpool have been told by Borussia Monchengladbach that they can make a move to sign Florian Neuhaus this summer,
The Reds want the midfielder as a possible replacement for Gini Wijnaldum who looks set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Neuhaus has an exit clause in his contract set at £35 million and Liverpool might not be the only interested party.
The 24-year-old has scored seven goals and claimed eight assists during 2020/21 and caught the eye against Manchester City in the last 16 of the Champions League.

Despite a 4-0 aggregate defeat to the Citizens, Neuhaus earned rave reviews for his guile and work rate from the middle of the park.
Now, it would seem Liverpool have been given the green light to make their move during the summer.
The report claims that a departure from his current club is ‘highly conceivable’ and that will be music to the ears of Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp must aim for an improved campaign next season. Their title defence during 2020/21 has been blighted with injury problems and better squad depth is required.
Neuhaus could thrive in Klopp’s system and with other clubs likely to be in the running, they might need to act quickly.
TBR View: Neuhaus ideal for Liverpool
If the Reds can claim the last Champions League spot it would make their challenge of signing players a lot easier.
Neuhaus wants to play in European competition next season and would relish the chance to play in the Champions League.

With Wijnaldum going, Klopp must ensure that he signs a replacement and the Germany international could prove the perfect replacement.
If Liverpool weren’t to qualify for the Champions League, costs could need to be cut at Anfield.
As a result, activating Neuhaus’ relatively small release clause looks like sensible business for last year’s champions to consider.
