Report: Liverpool eye move for French speedster who assisted 15 goals last season

According to Italian outlet , Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have been linked with plenty of wingers in recent weeks. Villarreal’s Arnaut Danjuma made the headlines earlier this week, but links to Diaby will surely excite Liverpool fans more.
The 22-year-old has been one of the most impressive players in Germany since the start of last season. His pace, dribbling and directness make him a perfect player for Klopp’s side, and it’s no shock that he’s reportedly interested.
Liverpool-linked Moussa Diaby was brilliant last season
Diaby made a fantastic name for himself in the Bundesliga last term. He scored 10 goals and provided 15 assists in all competitions, which is a fantastic return for someone who started the campaign as a 21-year-old.
His performances this season haven’t been too bad either. In six appearances in the Bundesliga, the Frenchman has scored three goals and has picked up an assist, only Florian Wirtz has registered more goal contributions for Leverkusen this term.
Diaby was also named as the fifth-fastest player in Bundesliga history. Only Alphonso Davies, Achraf Hakimi, Leon Bailey and Jeremy St. Juste have clocked higher speeds since records began in Germany in 2011. ()

Bad news for Sadio Mane?
Sadio Mane has been an incredible servant for Liverpool over the years. He played a massive part in helping them win the Premier League and the Champions League, and his services will always be appreciated by the Anfield faithful.
However, it really does look like Liverpool are planning for life without him. Mane will turn 30 in April and he will enter the final year of his contract as well. It makes little sense to hand him a new deal at that age, which makes parting ways the best thing for all parties involved.
Replacing Mane will not be easy for the Reds, but a player like Diaby is a fantastic shout. He has all the qualities to become a top player in the coming years, and under a manager like Klopp, he’ll likely be able to fulfil his massive potential.
