Report: Liverpool expect ‘incredible’ player to leave and French club now want to sign him
Ligue 1 outfit Lyon want to sign Takumi Minamino from Liverpool this summer and he is expected to leave Anfield.
The report that Lyon are ready to battle their domestic rivals Monaco to land the Japanese international.
Jurgen Klopp called Minamino ‘incredible‘ back in November but failed to find a regular spot in his Liverpool team for him thereafter.
The forward performed well when called upon in rotated lineups in the cup competitions, but Darwin Nunez is just another roadblock to the first team.

Lyon want Minamino
Even with Sadio Mane looking set to leave, Liverpool did not even hint that Minamino might be the man to step up to replace him.
They have pre-emptively signed Nunez to take that spot in the frontline and it is little surprise that Minamino is expected to leave in search of gametime.
Monaco finished third in Ligue 1 last season, meaning they will be in the Champions League qualifiers, while Lyon finished eighth.
Lyon were also eliminated from the Europa League by West Ham and that all adds up to mean it is no surprise that it was recently reported that .

Liverpool are shedding reliable sources of goals in reserve this summer, having already let Divock Origi go, and handing Nunez his squad number – 27.
Minamino netted which is a very decent return from 24 appearances, given how sporadically he played.
Is that a risk? Klopp will likely feel that Nunez, Luis Diaz and Mo Salah, with Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino in reserve is enough, with the talented crop of youngsters he has coming through.
