Report: Liverpool don’t want to pay £200,000-a-week to sign 26-year-old, but he could still move to the PL

Liverpool have reservations over paying Saul Niguez’s wage demands, .
Too expensive
Liverpool have been persistently linked with the Atletico Madrid midfielder throughout the summer so far, but are yet to make a move.
Saul now seems on the verge of a switch to the Premier League, with Manchester United and Chelsea keen to take him.
But, as things stand, it seems that Liverpool won’t be joining the race for the 26-year-old.
Saul wants £200,000-a-week, which would make him one of the top earners at Anfield, and that may make the transfer too expensive for Liverpool.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are said to be reluctant to match his demands right now, as they feel they are well stocked in midfield.

Liverpool do have Naby Keita, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones who can play in the position, while Harvey Elliott has emerged as a fine prospect.
Missed opportunity?
The Reds, therefore, may let the chance to sign Saul pass them by.
That is sure to be a controversial stance among fans at Anfield, who were hoping for more additions this summer.
Liverpool have been quiet in the transfer market so far, with Ibrahima Konate their only signing.
And although they have started well, there is a fear that they don’t quite have the depth to see the season out, if injuries are to strike.
