Report: Liverpool considering surprise move to sign Domagoj Vida
According to Turkish outlet , Liverpool are set to reiginite previous interest in signing Besiktas veteran Domagoj Vida this summer, as Jurgen Klopp looks to bring in central defensive cover.
Vida, 31, has starred for Besiktas since joining the club from Dynamo Kiev in January 2018 six months prior to shining at the World Cup. Vida helped his side reach the final of the competition, where they faced France and eventually lost 4-2.
A 79-time international, Vida was first linked with Liverpool back in 2018 with Klopp paying close attention to the powerful centre-backs’s impressive displays at the World Cup. Now, it appears the Reds are back in for Vida.
last month that Slaven Bilic’s West Bromwich Albion want Vida, who is due to cost £8.5million for any interested parties this summer. Vida, who has netted four goals in 25 league games this term, has a contract until 2022.

TBR’s view Vida no improvement on Lovren
Cheap and more than affordable, Vida is a decent central defender with bags of experience. However, is he an improvement on his national teammate Lovren? Probably not.
Lovren is expected to leave Anfield this summer, while Joel Matip has been touted as a possible departure and Liverpool fans will be keen for Klopp to bring in replacements that are improvements on those players.
Vida, though, is not. Liverpool should look elsewhere for a younger, but perhaps more expensive option.
