Liverpool keen on Laimer

Laimer now willing to listen to Premier League offers in 2023, and is open to moving clubs in the January transfer window.

Liverpool are looking closely at Laimer, and is under serious consideration by Liverpool for a January move to bolster their midfield.

One potential stumbling block is Laimer’s ankle injury. He is expected to be back after the World Cup, but Liverpool have enough midfield injuries as it is.

The Reds would want to make sure that Laimer is fit enough to come in and make a contribution right away if they take the plunge in the winter.

The  has compared Laimer’s style of play to that of Chelsea and France star N’Golo Kante.

It read: “You’ll be hard pressed to find a player who harries the opposition quite as intensively as Laimer, who is also a dab hand at shielding the ball, recycling possession and facilitating counter-attacks.

“‘Dirty Work’ could be his middle name.”

That is the kind of energy Jurgen Klopp needs in his engine room and it is an area of the pitch which is now in need of some serious surgery.
