However, Rennes president Nicolas Holveck told television in France that the plan is for them to keep Camavinga for next season at the very least.

“For Eduardo Camavinga, the project is to continue to progress at Stade Rennais. Very sincerely, yes, the project next season will be with Eduardo,” Holveck said. (

The news from Holveck will come as a bitter blow to Jurgen Klopp and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who have both been courting the youngster this season.

Rennes can try, but money will talk if United and Liverpool are serious – TBR View

Liverpool and Manchester United both need to keep capturing the best young talent in Europe if they want to continue to be dominant forces. Camavinga is certainly a player in that bracket.

Rennes can say all they want about not selling him but the fact remains that money will talk.

If United or Liverpool go in with big money now, they’ll find it hard to resist. Camavinga, too, will not want to turn down a move if it comes along.

Football is a funny old game and he might not get the chance again. It does, after all, only take one serious injury to curtail the plans of a player.
