Report: Liverpool and Manchester United both keen on Ricardo Pepi
According to from the , both Liverpool and Manchester United will be part of a summer transfer tussle to try and sign Ricardo Pepi from FC Dallas.
The states that Pepi, who is still just 18, is desperate to move to Europe to continue his career progression. He’s scored an impressive 13 goals in this season but Dallas are set to miss out on the play-offs.
With that, Pepi is determined to keep playing and apparently sees a move to Europe as the best way to do that. A January transfer scramble, then, is likely to take place.

The claims Dallas will look to bring in around £10m for Pepi. But while United and Liverpool could easily find that, Brighton and Brentford are also sniffing and could offer Pepi more regular football.
Pepi has made an explosive start to his international career too. He’s already three goals in just four appearances for the USA. His potential is obvious, and the big clubs in Europe will undoubtedly be keeping tabs as well.
TBR’s View: Ricardo Pepi worth the risk for Liverpool or United?
On paper, you’d have to say so. A teenager with so much talent and ability and who wants to come to Europe, it looks a no-brainer really.
For United and Liverpool, it might even be worth investing in him and allowing him to go to a Brighton or Brentford on loan. That way, they get their man and get some game time into him as well.
Goals seem to come naturally to Pepi. 13 in 27 is quite the record for someone so young, and his record at international level in such a short space of time is quite remarkable too.
At £10m, this looks a bargain for any club willing to take the punt on the youngster.
