Report: Liverpool and Arsenal target Houssem Aouar can leave for bargain price
Arsenal and Liverpool have discovered that Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar will be available for just £25 million during the summer transfer window,
The playmaker is a wanted man and the Premier League duo are both long-term admirers of the talented Frenchman and could pounce with his valuation plummeting.
Arsenal have come the closest to signing the player previously. Last summer the club held talks with Lyon regarding Aouar but the Gunners were unable to meet their demands.

Now, it seems as though the French performer has changed his mind over wanting to stay at Lyon. More so, the Ligue 1 team also appear receptive to offers this summer.
At £25 million the talented 22-year-old could prove to be a real steal and both Liverpool and the Gunners might find themselves in competition with other clubs to secure his signature.
Aouar has scored seven goals and registered four assists this season. He has played largely as a central midfielder but also has experience of playing behind the striker as a No.10.
Arsenal have struggled for creativity during 2020/21 and Mikel Arteta will look to address the balance during the summer. Dani Ceballos will return to Real Madrid and a gap will open in midfield.
TBR View: Aouar is a must given the bargain price
Last summer it was quite clear to see why reservations were held on the player, especially given his hefty valuation.
Now though the decision looks a lot simpler and both clubs would be foolish not to move for him this summer.

Aouar is on at Lyon and that wage would fit nicely within the structures at both Anfield and the Emirates Stadium.
Liverpool will be losing Gini Wijnaldum in the summer and the French performer would represent a decent alternative.
Likewise for Arsenal, they are in desperate need of some more qualities and at 22, Aouar fits the profile of a Gunners signing nicely.
The battle for his signature could get very interesting indeed.
