Report: Leicester now demanding £3.4m for Ghezzal deal

Besiktas are continuing to work on a deal for Leicester City player Rachid Ghezzal, according to .

Leicester have been open to selling the winger for a number of weeks now. Mohamed Ghezzal, Rachid’s father, claimed earlier this month his son would be leaving the King Power Stadium this summer.

However, a deal for the 29-year-old seems to have hit a snag.

The Turkish champions had reportedly agreed to a m (£2.6m) deal to sign the attacker, with the Foxes demanding cash payment. However, the Super Lig outfit wanted to pay in instalments. As a result, the Midlanders are demanding m (£3.4m) instead.

Deal for Ghezzal should still go through

The deal to sell Ghezzal to Besiktas should still go through despite a change in demands from Leicester.

You would hope the deal to sell the ace can happen as the club look to offload players.

Leicester have already added Patson Daka to what is an already packed squad in the midlands. The African will provide an option alongside, Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Kelechi Iheanacho next season.

But, Brendan Rodgers will still be losing a quality player. Ghezzal scored eight times and registered 17 assists as the Eagles won the league title. He got more league assists than Vardy and Maddison combined last term.
